History Spider

Mr Creepy and the Crawlies started in 2004 playing a few Beatles covers during the interval at a barn dance at St. John’s Church in Deepcar. The name reflected the Beatles repertoire.

A few months later the group was reformed and enlarged with the intention of playing another one off event to raise funds for three charities with which church members were involved . The event took place in April 2005 and was a great success, with around £1,500 being raised on the night.

We enjoyed playing so much that we decided to carry on and offer our services to other groups wishing to raise money for charity. Mr Creepy and the Crawlies now formed in its current format, Two singers, Guitar, Bass, Piano / Sax and Drums.

We played a number of events throughout 2006 and 2007, increasing our repertoire as we have gone on. Our original drummer , Richard, had to leave the band at the end of 2007 due to his employment taking him away from Sheffield. We recruited Michael who has been with us since late 2007.

We look forward to a busy 2008 helping even more groups raise money for their charities.
